So, last night was the much anticipated BET Awards. I expected it to be mostly a tribute to Michael Jackson. Um, yea. Yes, they talked about MJ, yes they paid tribute to MJ but not as well as I, and most of the Black community, had hoped. I was highly disappointed in the level of straight up DONKEYNESS poppin' off last night. Here's a little synopsis:

• New Edition - are you serious? I mean the Jackson 5 steps were on point, but the singing. O Lord the singing was horrendous! Ralph get your voice together. Bobby sit down!
• Don Cornelius - was it necessary for your speech to be like 30 minutes long?
• Ciara - who the hell let you sing? Stay in your lane and get the dancing.
• Eddie Levert - leave the liquor alone
• Ving Raimes - word?
• Monica - FAB
• Jay-Z & Beyonce - HIGHLY disappointed in your actions BEHIND the scenes.
• Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Jae Mills - GHETTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Summer Concert Season!

There hasn't been a bangin' summer concert season in a minute. I am overjoyed that good people are touring this summer. I already have my tickets for Beyonce and New Kids on the Block. Below are some hot concerts I am anticipating this summer. We are in a recession so I doubt i'll go to more than 3 concerts this summer lol. A sista is BROKE.

• Beyonce - where all the single ladies? do you know the dance? cuz i do and i WILL be getting it in at the show.
• Coldplay - I used to rule the world...
• Aerosmith - love them! but unfortunately they're coming to ny the same weekend i'll be seeing Bey in philly
• New Kids on the Block - Donnie needs to come holla at me
• Kid Rock - i love kid rock cuz he's gangsta

Much to my delight, the video for Ciara and Justin Timberlake's new song, Love, Sex & Magic, debuts on Monday! YAY! What needs to happen in order for this video to be amazing?

Rest assure I shall be blogging about the outcome on Monday. I must say that the song is OK at best. Maybe it will grow on me? But, I doubt it. Ciara needs to come harder than this ish and that Never Ever ish. Um, hello, Ciara!!! Beyonce is the queen. Rihanna was the princess. If you want to come close to taking RiRi's spot, this is NOT the way to do it. I never ever want to hear this ish again.
